Notice of Your Financial Privacy Rights
This notice is to inform the members of Valley Communities Credit Union of how the nonpublic information we collect on members is handled and safe guarded. Nonpublic information is any information not generally available to the public. Phone numbers and addresses are two examples of generally available public information which can be retrieved from a phone book.
Valley Communities collects nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
· Information we receive from you on applications or other forms.
· Information about your transactions with us.
· Information about your transactions with nonaffiliated third parties (a company not owned or controlled by Valley Communities Credit Union).
· Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency (credit bureaus).
We may disclose nonpublic personal information collected from your membership and account files. Examples would be name, address, account type or gender. Additional information may be disclosed as permitted by law.
We may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to the following third parties:
· Financial service providers, such as insurance and investment agents.
· We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law. These disclosures are made for and required, so that we can continue to offer you our current services. Examples would be data processor, IRA processor and credit bureaus.
We do not disclose nonpublic personal information on former members to nonaffiliated third parties, other than disclosures permitted by law.
If you prefer that we not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures, that is you may direct us not to make those disclosures ( other than ones permitted by law). If you wish to opt out of disclosures to nonaffiliated third parties, you may request the Opt out form and return it to; Valley Communities Credit Union, P.O. Box 127, Mosinee, WI 54455-0127.
Valley Communities also makes every effort to restrict access to your nonpublic personal information. Limiting it to those employees who need to know that information to provide products and services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
