Part-Time Member Service Representative I (MSR I)

Building lifelong relationships, one member at a time! Valley Communities Credit Union has been serving members for over 85 years. With our rich history, starting out in 1935, we served the employees of the Mosinee Paper Mill with a tiny office in their punch house. Growing continually over the years, we currently serve over 16,000 members in five different Central Wisconsin communities.

As an Part-Time MSR 1, your primary responsibilities are to ensure a positive member experience by:

  • Serving as Member Service Representative I (MSR)
  • Complete teller transactions, including cashing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals.
  • Identifying and finding solutions to improve their financial future
  • Supporting other staff within the branch
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members by performing a wide variety of customer service and clerical task related to MSR I duties

This is an excellent role for a person with experience in our industry, or an industry with a strong emphasis on customer service. We are a highly member focused credit union. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build relationships and rapport with members and staff.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Goal is to have this position transition to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) by the end of 2020. Position will be working closely with current CFO until April 2021, as they make the transition to retirement.

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) , your primary responsibilities:

  • Management responsibility would typically include budgeting, taxes, accounting, asset and liability management, and financial control activities.
  • Plans, directs, and controls the organization’s overall financial plans and policies, accounting practices.
  • Develops and coordinates necessary and appropriate accounting and statistical data and reports. Counsels management on fiscal control and profitability.
  • Responsible for the fair measurement and presentation of the company’s financial results and condition under U.S. GAAP, and for the safeguarding and optimum use of the organization’s assets in order to maximize return.
  • The VP of Finance directs the accounting functions providing leadership, training and supervision while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, applicable state and federal banking regulations and laws.

We are seeking a candidate with 5-10 years of similar or related experience. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or another related field. Desired CPA or CMA certificate.

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Building lifelong relationships, one member at a time! COO- We are looking for a COO who has the desire and ability to be an instrumental part of the development of the organization. The COO will assist the President/CEO in the development of corporate operations, personnel, financial performance, and growth. Oversees multiple core departments.

Major Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the attainment of short- and long-term operational goals.
  • Leads and directs the management teams of multiple core departments, including branch administration.
  • Assesses workflow and structure to implement efficiencies with personnel, member service and sales.
  • Formulates and recommends operating policies and objectives or changes in existing policies and objectives; ensures compliance with and implementation of approved policies and objectives.

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Five to ten years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
  • Five to ten year in a financial setting.
  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • Advanced organizational leadership skills. 
  • Interpersonal Skills.  The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust.
  • Communication Skills.  A professional level of oral and written communication skills are essential to the position.
