Branch Manager

Job Description: We are announcing an opening for a full-time Branch Manager reporting to the Chief Operations Officer based in the Corporate Office. 

Summary: The primary function of this position is to assist VCCU in achieving its Mission by Building lifelong relationship one member at a time, providing sound financial products and services.The Branch Manager must provide outstanding services to all members and identify and find solutions for their financial needs to better their financial lives’.

Status: Full Time. The hours required for this position will be 40 hours, some weeks will increase based on the needs of the branch and its member loans. Credit Union Hours of Operation range from 7:45am-5:15pm Monday-Thursday, 7:45am-6:15pm on Fridays, and rotating Saturday schedules based on the needs of the branch.

Duties to include (not limited to):

The person in this role is responsible for branch growth and profitability through business development within the community. This location requires a person capable of expanding its geographical reach through relationship driven business development. The person in this role is expected and responsible for branch growth and profitability through business development within the community, with an emphasis in the Mosinee and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities:
• Accountable for financial performance, member satisfaction, branch policies and procedures. Ensures branch adheres to internal control requirements.
• Coach staff on a regular basis to guide them to higher performance and productivity, encourage employees to actively cross sell credit union products and services.
• Help to establish staff goals and work closely with staff on individual goals.
• Maintain a regular schedule for business development by attending local events, such as but not limited to: involvement in The Wisconsin Credit Union League, Credit Union Chapter, Chamber of Commerce, and other local community events.
• Participates in the community to help grow awareness and brand recognition of VCCU, by building and maintaining relationships with local businesses.
• Making outbound telephone calls to acquire additional member business and enhance service quality.
• Monitors quality of service for members, and ensure employees are maximizing opportunities to sell products.
• Manage the security and safety of the branch.
• Hold staff meetings to discuss: areas needing improvement, goal status, changes in procedures, new developments, and to present general information when needed.
• If necessary, may need to fill in for the various positions within the branch.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of an associate degree in business management or related field preferred
• 3-5 years of previous experience in banking, lending, or a financial institution is preferred.
• 3-5 years of management experience in a financial setting preferred.
• Candidate must have excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
• Goal oriented individual and ability to hold others accountable.
• Ability to build relationships and rapport with others.
• Time management and organization.
• Must have an NMLS #.

Assistant Branch Manager

Job Description: We are announcing an opening for a Full-Time Assistant Branch Manager reporting to the Branch Manager based in the Mosinee branch.

Summary: The primary function of this role is to assist VCCU in achieving its mission by building lifelong relationship one member at a time, providing sound financial products and services.

Duties to include (not limited to):

The person in this role will be responsible for consumer lending growth as well as cross sell all credit union products and services. Assist members with inquires, and/or problems in a friendly and respectful manner. Maintain branch surroundings that reflect the credit union’s commitment to provide exceptional member service. Manage and work with the Teller Supervisor to build growth plans for staff by coaching, conducting reviews and feedback sessions.

Responsibilities:
• Accountable for financial performance, member satisfaction, branch policies and procedures. Ensures branch adheres to internal control requirements.
• Assist the Branch Manager and Teller Supervisor with coaching staff on a regular basis to guide them to higher performance and productivity, encourage employees to actively cross sell credit union products and services.
• Be able to effectively respond to inquiries regarding member service and consumer lending on all Credit Union related products and services.
• Participates in the community to help grow awareness and brand recognition of VCCU, by building and maintaining relationships with local businesses.
• Interview loan applicants, counseling on collateral, credit report, income, employment verifications and alternatives.
• Use sound judgment when granting new loan requests ensuring that the Credit Union’s interest is protected and potential for loss is kept to a minimum.
• Communicate with members in an efficient and professional manner during the loan process to include inquiry, status and closing of the loan.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member while using direction and providing sound judgement in problem solving abilities.
• Manage the security and safety of the branch.
• Assist the Branch Manager and Teller Supervisor with staff meetings to discuss: areas needing improvement, goal status, changes in procedures, new developments, and to present general information when needed.
• Refer mortgage loans to Branch Manager.
• If necessary, may need to fill in for the various positions within the branch.

Qualifications:
• Associates degree in financial, accounting, lending, business management preferred
• 1-3 years of previous management experience preferred
• 1-3 years of previous lending and member service experience preferred
• Candidate must have excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
• Ability to hold others accountable
• Highly goal oriented
• Ability to build relationships and rapport with others
• Time management and organization
• Highly sales oriented
• Computer proficient
• Highly detail oriented
• Must obtain an NMLS # within 3 months on the job if not already acquired
