COVID-19

Dear Member,

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is certainly concerning as it has been in the news a lot lately.  When it comes to COVID-19, there is much we don't know about it and its impact.  Please be assured the health and safety of you, our members, along with our employees and community members is a top priority to us.

Given this uncertainty, and the fact that the seasonal influenza (flu) is also widespread, we are taking proactive steps to address a number of concerns.  We are closely monitoring the situation and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance to prepare for any ongoing developments. This includes implementing measures to adhere to the CDC's guidelines of "social distancing."

Currently, all our branches are open and available to help members as needed, both in the lobbies and the drive-thru's.  Staff are regularly cleaning and sanitizing to prevent transmission of any type of illness.  However, effective Monday, March 23,2020 all branch lobby locations will be closed.  All drive ups will remain open with extended hours: opening from 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday - Friday, and 8:30am to 12:30pm on Saturdays.  Phone communication is also encouraged.  Prearranged appointments will be considered for loan closings and certain other services on a case by case basis.

As a reminder, you have access to your accounts anywhere, whether at school, work, or at play (or yes, even in self-isolation) with our online and mobile services.

  • Check your balances, Receive real time alerts
  • Turn your card on or off or restrict it to certain areas with your phone's GPS
  • Pay bills, transfer funds, even make loan applications
  • Access cash, using your VCCU debit card, at the ATMs available at any of our locations, or any ATM nationwide

Beware of Scams.  In uncertain times it is typical to see an increase in fraud scams against consumers.  Please be wary of unexpected emails or phone calls thay may try to take advantage of you.  Be on the lookout for scammers impersonating charities, government agencies and medical companies.

We are continually monitoring the situation and keeping a close eye on any government recommendations.  If we need to make any adjustments, we will make them accordingly.  Please check our website www.valleycommunities.org for any updates.  For up to date information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), please go to: https://www.cdc.gov.  You can also find updates at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services at:  https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov

We understand many of us will be impacted in some way by this emergency.  Thank you for your trust and support of Valley Communities Credit Union.  If this situation has caused any financial burden for you, if we can help you in any way, please call any of our locations to discuss further.

Sincerely,

Kelly Hladovcak
